Baby Gemma’s Nursery Reveal

Happy Tuesday friends!

I’m so so so excited to share this room with you! It has taken forever it seems like and it has finally all come together and I LOVE IT! Josh keep’s making fun of me because whenever he can’t find me, he knows I’m sitting in the rocking chair just enjoying the room. This room is extra special to me because we’re about 99% sure we are done having babies, so this will be my last nursery I decorate. Well without further ado, here’s baby Gemma’s baby room!

Baby Gemma’s Baby Nursery Reveal

My Inspo / The Wall Paper

The first thing I picked for this room was the wall paper + from there I went with the rest of the room. I wanted it to feel light and airy with a little bit of boho and mid-century feel and I absolutely love how it turned out! When I found this swan wall paper I instantly fell in love. I love the chartreuse / mustardy color with pops of pink! It’s so unique and gives me a nostalgic feeling. I got the wall paper from Spoonflower and I am so impressed with the quality and how it easy it was to hang! Josh and I put it up in one night and it was much easier than we thought. It is their water activated wall paper, it is super forgiving and easy to make look perfect! It is defiantly a task for two people but once you get a feel of how to do it you’ll have it up in no time!

Furniture + Function

I wanted the furniture in her room to not only be appealing to the eye, but functional for all the stages of her life. I know with past nurseries we’ve done, I didn’t think a head when I was making a purchase and we ended up buying more furniture for each stage of life, ex: changing table (use a dresser + changing pad instead), side table (use a night stand that you can use once their are in a big bed).

The Cubby –

I love this cubby I found at Home Goods. We can use if for all her baby essentials until she gets older then it will be cute storage for toys and books. I got this cubby at Home Goods for $39.99 and there were three colors, white, black, and grey. I can’t find the exact one online but I have linked similar ones at the bottom of this blog post.

The Above The Ground Basket –

One of my favorite purchases was the cute above the ground basket. At first I thought it would be perfect with a cute plant but lets be honest, a baby and a plant in something like that would be a bad mixture –pulled down in minutes once she becomes mobile. I love having all her stuffed animals in it and once she gets bigger I think it will be a cute place to store all her toys.

Dresser + Crib –

I love this dresser so much! It is smaller than most dressers and I love it’s size! It fits so cute in different area’s of her room and I also had it in my girls room for a bit and I loved it so much I had to get another one! As I said above its nice to find a dresser you love and buy a changing pad to put on top instead of buying a changing table and a dresser. Her dresser and crib are both from the DaVinci Regency Nursery Collection and I love them! They were easy to set up and I got them shipped super fast from Target! I love this crib’s esthetic, the headboard makes it feel grander and is perfect with the wall paper.

Rocking Chair / Recliner –

I LOVE the esthetic of this chair. I think the color is absolutely perfect for any baby room. I love the fabric, it is a super comfy chair. My only complaint is I didn’t realize it wasn’t a rocking chair until I put it together. It reclines which is still super comfy but I am still looking for a rocker/glider that looks like this. I love it, just think I will want it to rock for those late night feedings. I’ve linked some other favorite chairs of mine at the bottom of the post.

When I started putting her room together I knew I wanted to have some sweet prints in it from Olive & Eve Co. She makes the sweetest prints. I love how she can make such sweet printables that are simple, elegant and perfect! We partnered together to give you some AH-MAZING prints that she is actually launching today!! You can get the prints here!  You will love them all! I love how all of them are inspiring for your baby, daughter, or even your own room. Stay Magical + I Knew You’d Be Lovely melt me! My favorite one of all though is the Wild Flower one. She made it in several colors and I know you’re just going to love it!

Book Nook / Swan / Swing

Every little kid needs a little space to have books am I right? Also I think it helps enforce more reading with your kids which I love! This wall was so bare and I knew I wanted books on it for sure but couldn’t quite decide what I wanted to put on it and then between Josh, myself and Megan from Finding Foley we came up with this darling swan and I couldn’t be happier with it! It is so cute and makes such a big statement to such a bare wall. Megan is so talented! This is a custom order with her and since it is so big she is only offering this to Utah locals but if you are out of state I know you can find something you will love from her shop that isn’t as hard to ship!

The swing is one of my favorite things! I have wanted this swing in one of my babies rooms since I was pregnant with Ruby and guys guess what!? I’ve had it since then and Josh and I always thought it was going to be a pain to hang and it was SUPER EASY! I don’t know how we lucked out but I found the most perfect white and gold boat rope from Home Depot and it looks so cute!

Changing Area

This area is one of my favorites! I had ordered a few things to go on this wall and they ended up being delayed until November which was a bust but I actually love all of this even more than the items I had originally went with! I’m obsessed with the sign from Opal + Olive. It’s so dang cute! She has the best stuff for kids rooms!
